The design is a dynamic interplay of linear elements and "buttons", soft chamfered forms inspired by two distinct sources - the rear elevation motifs of Chandigarh's High Court designed by Le Corbusier and a rare jali (decorative lattice screen) pattern found in the mosque within the Taj Mahal complex.
The intuitive burn treatment of wood contrasts the precision of spindle- turning, emphasizing the irregular beauty of hand-crafted work over mechanized uniformity.
The visual contrast between the dark charred wood and the light maple grain deepens this narrative, speaking to the duality of tradition and modernity coexisting within a single form.
